I just remembered this site exists.

It's funny to me to realize how much so many others in my life have changed in such a short period of time, and then I look back on this in embarrassment. Work sometime this morning. Then 40s, whiskey, and hopefully climbing mountains with a fucked up foot. 

I finally feel like I'm at a point in my life where I'm gaining some control over my addictions, so I just need to stay conscious of my use with the alcohols. I really hope that some close friends (whether they still consider me as such is moot, because I still worry for them) come to terms with their substance issues too.
